Katie Clancy
Katie Clancy is a second-generation child of Gonzo. Her father, the attorney John Clancy, was HST's roommate in NYC and later represented Hunter, most notably becoming involved in the legalities of the run for Pitkin County Sheriff. Katie has published dozens of articles, many about dance, health, and sub-culture. Indeed, she double-majored in dance and journalism at NYU; after graduation in 2007, she worked at The Rolling Stone and Time Out NYC, and her freelance writing credits include The Village Voice, The Brooklyn Rail, The Durango Telegraph, several leading dance blogs and lifestyle publications. She currently lives in Durango, Colorado where she works as a movement educator and is owner of Studio Soma. Katie is a company member with 20moons Dance Theatre Company and is currently working on her first book, "Gravity Brain," about the wild body and the subconscious. She is a founding contributor to the Hunter-Gatherer podcast.
